Yigal Azrouël Debuts Cut25 Diffusion Line
Lucky for downtown girls on a budget, Yigal Azrouël has launched a diffusion label that sells for a fraction of the price of his namesake line.
Dubbed Cut25, Azrouël’s new lower-priced line features the slouchy shapes, creative draping techniques and color-blocking that the Israel-born, New York-based designer has become known for.
The 32 pieces in the Fall 2010 debut collection, which will all retail under $500 and is in stores now, include leggings and strong-shoulder mini-dresses covered in sequins, over-sized lightweight knit cardigans, leather bombers, basic jersey pieces ideal for layering and much more.
Due to the buyers’ enthusiasm for the new line, the Resort 2011 collection (see it here!) is even bigger, with 46 garments, and will arrive in stores October 1st.
All of the garments in Cut25 will be produced locally in New York City and include ‘Made in New York’ labels. Expect to find them at Intermix, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and online at Cut25.com starting in September, as well as at the Cut25 flagship store that is slated to open in New York at the end of 2011.Full story on StyleList here.

K.I.S.S. is an acronym used in design that stands for ‘keep it simple, stupid’. thats how I feel about today’s outfit. jeans and a t-shirt is okay in my book so long as you have good shoes and a good bag. it’s also a comfortable way to travel and I’ll be on a bus for 4.5 hours later today. gross.

Britt, I miss you soooooo much. You are one of the funniest girls I know. You, Kate and my cousin Joanne are my Three Stooges. — Justin’s mom, she thinks I’m funny : ]

back in the game, folks. I’ve been living my summer in shorts and leggings and feel like I haven’t worn a skirt or dress in ages but I scooped this one off the sale rack at Urban Outfitters over the weekend so I thought I’d give it a whirl. you can’t really tell by the way I’m standing but this top has sort of a mullet style thing going on- longer in the back and cropped in the front.

Marc by Marc Jacobs ‘Leola’- I hope you will be my next major handbag purchase as you are so divine with your pebbled leather and Alexander Wang-like zipper detailing.
after a few drinks on Saturday all Kristen wanted to do was play Phase10 and eat Chex Mix. gosh, I love her.
In my early years as a fashion editor I worked with Norman Parkinson, who was a really big photographer, and he taught me to always keep your eyes open. You know, never go to sleep in the car or anything like that. Keep watching because whatever you see out the window or wherever- it can inspire you. —
